The Company

Owens Land Surveying was founded in June 2000 by registered land surveyor Frank Owens, RPLS #5387, a land surveyor with over three decades experience. We are located in downtown Greenville, Texas and serve the North Central Texas area (see service area map). All research, field work and drafting are completed in house by our staff and we also have long standing relationships with area Title Companies, lenders, Mortgage Companies and local governments, which helps to expedite the completion of your survey.
Why do you need a land surveyor?
- If you are buying or selling a piece of property, most lending institutions will require a current survey for the purpose of revealing potential problems with boundary lines, easements and encroachments.
- If you are planning on building a fence or other improvement near a property line.
- If a property line or property corner is unknown or in dispute, or if you believe someone is encroaching on your land.
- If you plan on dividing your land up to sell or a will orders the land to be divided.
What is a land survey?
A land survey is the measurement of real property that shows all boundaries and existing features of a tract of land within the guidelines of state law and professional organizations. A land survey includes the location and description of all property corners and boundaries, all physical improvements, means of access from a public right-of-way, location and description of any fences along or near your boundaries and any other physical and visible matters which could affect the use and enjoyment of your property.
